What do you give to baptism? We answer this question today and give you lots of ideas for an original and creative baptism gift . To your relief, our proposals are divided into five groups: gift sets, personalized gifts, home-baked cookies, self-crocheted baby shoes, toys, and baby clothes.
# 1 gift sets
This group includes various gift baskets and the recently very popular diaper cakes. Arranging a gift basket yourself is very easy. It depends on your preferences, what belongs in it: baby blankets, cuddly toys, baby clothes, baby shoes etc. The gift basket can also be decorated with different applications. Making a diaper cake yourself requires a bit more time and patience, but the effort is worth it. For this DIY project you need diapers, rubber bands, a cake stand, a baby bottle and, if you wish, various little decorations and gifts. First, you should put the baby bottle in the middle of the cake stand, arrange the diapers for the first floor around the bottle and fix with rubber band. Once the first floor is finished, make the second and third, using fewer diapers for each next floor. Finally, decorate each floor with deco ribbons, artificial flowers or small gifts.

# 2 Personalized Gifts
It’s up to you to decide on a cute bodysuit or shoes with your own name or a cuddly blanket with your age. Another great idea is to put your baby’s foot or handprint in picture frames. For this purpose you only need a white paper sheet, finger paint, paper plates to mix colors and a picture frame. Simply dip the baby’s foot / hand into the finger paint, then press the paper sheet against the foot / hand and let the paint dry. Once the paint has dried, put the paper sheet in the frame and your homemade personalized gift is ready.

# 3 Bake cookies and decorate yourself
With such a gift, you are sure to bring joy to all baptismal guests. Here we show you a quick and easy recipe for tasty cookies.
- 300 g of soft butter
- 250 g of sugar
- 30 g of vanilla sugar
- 500g flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch of salt
For the glaze:
- 1 egg white
- 250 g of powdered sugar
- lemon juice
- Food coloring
- Put the butter, sugar and eggs in a bowl and stir until frothy. Then sift flour over it and knead the dough with your hands. Wrap the dough with foil and put in the fridge for about 1 hour.
- Sprinkle the work surface with flour and roll out the dough thinly (about 1/2 mm).
- Preheat the oven to 160 degrees and cut out ducklings with cookie cutters.
- Cover a baking sheet with baking paper, place the cookies on it and bake at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.
- For the glaze: Mix the egg whites with the salt and beat until fluffy. Add powdered sugar and food coloring and stir well again.
- Place one half of the glaze in a decorating pen, spread around the edges of the cookies and let it solidify.
- Dilute the rest of the glaze with lemon juice to create a thick, smooth texture, spread on the cookies and let set.
